Welcome to Sea Glass Designs by Grace. First thing you must know about me is I love sea glass and sharing the beauty of the sea glass I’ve found with others through my art and jewelry. My love for sea glass has a much deeper meaning than just the beauty or value of it. If you'd like to know more about that, please read the about us section. It is important to me to make sure that the glass pieces I use in my art and jewelry are all genuine sea glass. I have handpicked all the pieces, except the ones that my friends are now out gathering on the Delaware beaches to help keep me in supply. 🙂 What can I say?? They love me and my artwork and are extremely supportive in this venture. 🥰 The only alteration I’ve made to any of the glass came about when I realized, after I cured the piece, my white sea glass became clear again and couldn’t really be seen. I started experimenting for ways to color the white glass with food coloring to be able to use it in my art and it has been successful. It is still sea glass found in nature and tumbled by the ocean or bay waters. I am determined that I will not resort to tumbling it myself in a rock tumbler or purchasing sea glass when I can’t be assured it is authentic. So I will continue to comb the beaches in Delaware and travel to new places to handpick more sea glass and shells from other beaches. So I hope you enjoy checking out my creations and if you see any you just have to have in your home or office, please feel free to message me to see if it's still available or if I can make another one for you if it's not. Just remember...no two pieces are identical in my work so you will have an original piece. Also, please understand that I use the pieces in the shapes I find them so perfection in shape is not guaranteed, although I do my best to pick the best pieces shaped for the design. In addition, shells, crabs, horseshoe crabs, seaweeds, beach grasses, and other "unique" items are all skillfully gathered during my beach walks.

I was in search of that perfect piece of blue or red sea glass…that special treasure that I longed to find. I walked for over an hour and as I was getting ready to leave, I looked down and there was a piece of white/clear sea glass perfectly shaped like a heart. I thought about how that piece of glass probably started as something intact, probably a bottle, and someone discarded it into the sea. As it fell to the bottom of the sea it probably hit a rock and shattered. Then the surf tumbled this piece of glass in the sand as the tides came in and out for years. The result was this perfectly tumbled piece of glass in the shape of a heart. Just as the ocean tumbled this broken glass, we are often broken but God "tumbles" us until he fully restores our heart.
